S.O.L.E. is proud to be able to represent the Great Oaks Career Campuses at the 2024 Clermont County Law Enforcement Appreciation Banquet. Congratulations to all of the award winners tonight! Thank you to the men and women who serve the Clermont County communities!

The S.O.L.E. Class of 2025 held court today on an OVI (Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated) Trial. THEY WERE INCREDIBLE!!!! Every student had a role and it was very close to reality! The verdict was a nail biter!! Great job, I am so proud of each of you!!!

K9 Cruz came to explain to our classes how awesome he is at sniffing out drugs, bad guys and other items that could be lost or evidence in a crime. Thanks to his handler, Lt Bibelhausen of the Loveland Police Department, for giving him a ride to Scarlet Oaks yesterday. He was a very good boy!! (And so was K9 Cruz!

We are so proud of our Senior SOLE National Tecnical Honor Society (NTHS) Members! They received the honors yesterday and their cord for graduation. Congratulations!!!!!!🎉

S.O.L.E. Seniors were in Mansfield this week at the Ohio State Reformatory. A glimpse at History and Hollywood!! Can you guess what famous movies were filmed there? Mrs. Frith added some fascinating prisoner stories to our tour! We are happy to say we didn’t not bring unwanted guests home with us! 👻

This week, the Class of 2024 did an outstanding job researching, creating and presenting important topics to the Junior class and Seniors to Seniors (citizens over 60 yrs old). They taught Self Defense/Awareness and Scams/Frauds.

This week’s classes was geared towards officer well-being, and mental health. We talked about stress and healthy ways to deal with it.
Lt. Humphrey shared one of her personal ways of combating stress. The students would agreed, her spring chicks were good for the SOLE (pun intended!!)

Our week in S.O.L.E. included multiple crime scenes created by the Seniors for the Juniors to process, defensive tactics- Corrections style for the seniors. Building and room searches were a fun way to improve our skills.

S.O.L.E.’s Seniors Spotlight these past couple weeks is FUN, FITNESS and FOOD!
A big thanks to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office for hosting a jail tour and providing lunch! We also learned about the food options in prison and made our own Prison Pad Thai and a makeshift birthday cake with Oreos. Fitness included obstacle courses and real police scenario incidents we used for training. Get ready to see all of the fun we have had while learning!
