🎲 SPRINGMYER ELEMENTARY PTA GAME NIGHT! 🎲

Join fellow Springmyer friends and their families for a night of fun and games!

📅 Tuesday, September 22nd
⏰ 6:30–8:00 PM

There will be something for everyone!

🎲 Board Games — In the gym. Play ours or bring your own!
🔢 Bingo — In the cafeteria thank you to the Girl Scouts!
🏃 Kickball — Hosted outside on the field thank you to the Cub Scouts!
🛝 Sparky Park Playground — Open and available
📚 The Book Fair will also be OPEN!
🍧 Kona Ice — available for purchase in the front circle

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Your entire family is welcome! Bring siblings, grandparents, and more!

We can’t wait to see our Springmyer families for a fun-filled night!

SPRINGMYER PTA IS LOOKING FOR ROOM PARENT VOLUNTEERS! 🐉

Each class usually has about three room parents (max 5).
If you have multiple children you'd like to sign up for, please feel free to, but know that we will likely only assign you to one.

❤️ Room parent duties for the 2026/2027 school year include the following:
• Plan and attend the holiday party
• Chaperone field trip(s) (Usually in April, but this is up to the teachers.)
• Help coordinate Teacher Appreciation Week for your classroom (May)
• Help to set up and host a Carnival booth
• *5th Grade room parents also help the 5th grade coordinators with various fundraisers that benefit the 5th grade and the end of year party.🥳

*Please note, if we receive an overwhelming response for a classroom, we will draw names. Filling out this form does not guarantee you will be a room parent, but we will make every effort to include everyone who signs up. There are many opportunities to volunteer at school this year regardless of who the room parents are!*

Come volunteer in the Springmyer Library!📚

📕What does volunteering in the library entail?🤔
Each class has a weekly library time, which lasts half an hour. During your child’s library time, you can come read a book to the class. You can bring your own or pick one in the library. Then you help the kids check out their books. The computer system is easy to learn, and Mrs. Stephens will be there to help!📚

📗What if I have younger kids?
Your younger kids are welcome to come! They can sit and listen to the book with the class.☺️

📘What do I need to do to sign up?
Sign up at the link below or check the Sparks newsletter for the library sign-up genius and find your child’s class. If you haven’t volunteered at the school yet this year, you’ll also need to fill out the background check form, then you’ll be set for rest of the year.✔️

📙What about Book Fair?
Book Fair happens three times a year. During the Book Fair, we ask volunteers to come in to help make wishlists for the kids. All you need to do is write down book titles! We also need people to work the cash registers in the mornings before school. This is also very user-friendly and easy to learn. Book Fair days are very busy, so we’re always looking for more people to help!❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight for Meet The Teacher & Activity Fair! ❤️🖤

It was wonderful to see so much excitement throughout the building as students met their teachers, reconnected with friends, and maybe even found a new club, sport, or activity to be part of.📚🎨🏃‍♀️. Most importantly, we hope everyone left feeling confident, prepared, and excited for the first day of school and year ahead! 🚌

📣 As a reminder, we're kicking off the school year with a staggered start, so be sure to double-check your child's assigned first day!

Sparky invites you to join us for Springmyer Elementary's Meet the Teacher & Activity Fair on Tuesday, August 18, from 3:30–5:30 PM! 🐉❤️

Meet your child's teacher, explore their classroom, drop off school supplies, and help your student start the year feeling comfortable and ready for a great year ahead!📚

While you're there, stop by the Activity Fair in the gymnasium to learn about the clubs and extracurricular opportunities that Springmyer offers for students in grades 1-5! 🎨🎭♟️🏃‍♀️

And don't forget to visit the PTA table and say hello! 👋🏼 We'd love to catch up with familiar faces, welcome new families, and share a little of what the PTA has planned for the year! It's a great chance to learn about ways to get involved—whether that's volunteering at an event, joining a committee, or simply staying connected and supporting our school community, your support always makes a difference.❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our first PTA meeting of the 2026-2027 school year! ❤️📚

It was wonderful to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new families, discuss changes and opportunities ahead, address important concerns (looking at you Ebenezer/Hutchinson Rd closure👀), and most importantly, share ideas for making this an amazing year for our students, teachers, and school community. ❤️🙌🏼

It truly is going to be a great year!
