Another fun day across the district as our schools continue to celebrate Spirit Week!

Here are some photos from Bridgetown, Delhi and Rapid Run Middle Schools. It was Minions Day at Bridgetown, Neon Day at Delhi, and Character Day at Rapid Run. Students and staff went all out dressing up for each theme!

Students at J.F. Dulles Elementary who raised over $250 for the school’s Walk-A-Thon were able to have a Water Balloon Toss with their teachers at the end of the school day this afternoon. Just a friendly competition, right? 🤣🤣

Students in Brandy Schliesman's 6th grade Language Arts classes at Delhi Middle School recently worked on a 3D Literary Dioramas & Sequential Plot Architecture project in class.

Working in pairs, students identified the 11 most critical plot milestones from our shared class novel and constructed detailed 3D dioramas representing each scene. As the grand finale, the classes will collaborate to synthesize these individual pieces into a correct, full-scale chronological plot line puzzle.

The completed plot line puzzle will be installed as an interactive hallway gallery at the school just in time for parent-teacher conferences.

Congratulations to Oak Hills High School Art and Design student Anna Schuler, from Ms. Jamie Schorsch’s Studio Art Foundations class, on being awarded 2nd place for the Printmaking category in this year’s Emerging Artist exhibition.

The Ohio Art Education Association High School Show showcases Ohio’s Emerging Artists’ artistic efforts. The Emerging Artist show is dedicated to showcasing the artistic efforts of students who have only had the chance to take one or two art classes in high school. The competitive professional forum is intended to prepare young artists for their creative future in college or in an art career. This showcase is designed to inspire new artists to excel in the areas of drawing, painting, sculpture, crafts, computer art, photography, and printmaking.

Anna's work will be on display at the Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. as part of the show.

Oak Hills High School students got the chance to witness the State of Ohio First Appellate Court in action on Tuesday as a three judge panel from the court heard three real cases in the Ione Holt Auditorium as part of a Live Court Simulation at the school.

The students heard lawyers from both sides argue their cases, the judges ask questions and give opinions on what the lawyers were arguing, and witness first hand how a courtroom operates.

Following the arguments, the judges on the panel stayed for a Q & A session with the students. Thank you to the three judges: The Honorable Ginger S. Bock, The Honorable Jennifer M. Kinsley, and The Honorable Terrance A. Nestor for sharing their knowledge and experience with our students!

Congratulations to the Oak Hills High School Marching Band on their overall Second Place rating out of 13 bands competing this past weekend under the lights at Centerville High School.

In addition to the overall second place rating, they also captured 2nd place in Class 4A and the "People's Choice" Award. This was the OHHS band's first time ever competing at the Centerville High School competition.

Mother Nature provided a beautiful day on Monday for the annual Springmyer Elementary Walk-A-Thon! Students enjoyed some fun treats, outdoor games and loved walking through the bubble machine as part of the festivities.

Thank you to all of the Springmyer staff, our wonderful parent volunteers, the Springmyer PTA, and everyone who sponsored this year's event.

Oak Hills Local School District is hosting a Fall Immersion Showcase on October 14 from 6-7 p.m. at J. F. Dulles Elementary.

Families and the community are invited to come and see what we are learning in our bilingual classrooms! All immersion classes from across the district will have projects on display.
