Summer is a time for fun, but it's also important to keep our minds active. Research shows that students can lose significant academic ground over the summer months if they do not continue learning:
📚 Students can lose up to 20–30% of their school-year gains in reading during summer break.
➕ Students can lose approximately 2–3 months of math skills over the summer.
📉 By middle school, repeated summer learning loss can contribute to achievement gaps between students who have regular learning opportunities and those who do not.
The good news? Just a little practice goes a long way!
✅ Read for 20 minutes each day
✅ Visit the library weekly
✅ Practice math facts and problem-solving
✅ Keep a journal
✅ Explore museums, parks, and educational programs

🎶🏘️ What an AMAZING evening at the Evanston Brady Block Party hosted by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra this weekend! 🏘️🎶
From bounce houses and free food to live entertainment and community fun, there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. We loved seeing familiar faces, meeting new friends, and spending time with our neighbors right here in Evanston.
Team Office was out and about mixing, mingling, and sharing all things Alliance Academy! We talked with families about the resources available through our school, and shared what makes Alliance Academy such a special place for students to learn and grow. Most importantly, we let our community know that we are here for them and their students.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello—we had such a great time connecting with our community!

🏆☀️ What a way to wrap up the school year! ☀️🏆
Our final day was filled with excitement as students competed in our annual House Field Day Competition! A huge shoutout to our infamous gym teacher, Mr. Shotwell, who designed an epic obstacle course, kept all four houses moving to their challenges on time, and served as the official judge for the day's events.
From teamwork and perseverance to friendly competition and lots of laughs, our Knights gave every challenge their all! Our lunch staff's even gave us a grilled bar-be-que lunch to keep us all going!
🥇 Spoiler Alert: HOUSE LIGHTBEARERS brought home the gold and claimed the overall victory for the day! Congratulations to the Lightbearers and to every student who participated with enthusiasm, determination, and house pride.
What an amazing way to celebrate a year of hard work, growth, and success. Go Knights! ⚔️🧡

During the last week of school our students enjoyed an action-packed Carnival day thanks to the amazing team at Cincinnati Circus!
Students had the opportunity to bounce, race, play, and create as they enjoyed bounce houses, giant games, face painting, big trikes, obstacle courses, and more. The day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. 🎉
This special event was a well-deserved reward for the hard work, growth, and dedication our students have shown throughout the school year. We are incredibly proud of our Knights and all they have accomplished!
A huge thank you to Cincinnati Circus for bringing so much excitement and energy to our campus. It was a fantastic day that our students will be talking about for a long time!
