Project EXCEL has made some changes recently! We are now the Success+ Program at MSJ and have expanded our services.

We still have our comprehensive tutoring package for students with documented learning differences, called the Academic Success Package. We have added professional tutoring options for all students in the areas of Math, Science, Writing, and Executive function support. Finally, we have a Social Skills Support option for neurodivergent students.

We look forward to supporting more of our MSJ Lions! Reach out with questions today: [email protected]

Try to catch the play tonight Nov 11th at 7pm or Nov 17 7pm/Nov 18th at 2pm (ASL interpreted).

Amazing acting - heartbreaking - you’ll have a new appreciation for the work Nurses did in the Vietnam war and how each and every one was affected. Bring your tissues!

What are our graduates saying about the Project EXCEL Program?

"The Project EXCEL Program allowed me as a student to grow as a learner and a person. I learned strategies I will take with me as I go out into the workplace. Project EXCEL is a family that welcomes diversity and inclusion. It was my safe space and I'm honored and blessed I was able to be a part of the program." - Special Education Degree Graduate

"I learned to challenge myself as a person, stay organized, work ahead in assignments when possible, make new friends, and know and understand that it is okay to be different. Thank you Project EXCEL for helping me become successful in and out of the classroom!" Educational Studies Degree Graduate

Each year Project EXCEL invites the students in our program to apply for one of two Merit Scholarships worth $1000 each.

Students must have completed one semester at The Mount, must be a full-time student (12 credit hours), and can only receive it one time.

Students complete certain criteria, which includes their involvement in campus activities, Project Excel utilization, and an essay sharing why they believe they are deserving of the scholarship.

Candidates must also have a recommendation from one of their Project EXCEL tutors, and a recommendation from a member of faculty, advisor, coach or mentor.

At this year’s End of Year Celebration we were so pleased to announce our 2023 winners! Kate and Jack do an amazing job and truly deserve this award!

Congratulations to them both!
