12 Fun Spring Activities for Preschoolers

Plant a Mini Garden:
Give kids small pots, soil, and seeds (like flowers or veggies) to plant.
Teach them how to water and care for their plants.

Nature Scavenger Hunt:
Create a simple list of spring items (flowers, leaves, rocks, bugs) and have kids find them during a walk or in your yard.

Paint with Flowers:
Use flowers instead of brushes! Dip them in paint and stamp them onto paper to create unique art.

Butterfly Crafts:
Make butterflies using coffee filters, markers, and pipe cleaners. Spray the filters with water to see the colors blend.

Puddle Jumping:
After a light spring rain, put on rain boots and splash in puddles together. It’s simple and so much fun!🫣

Spring Sensory Bin:
Fill a bin with rice or beans and add plastic bugs, flowers, or leaves for kids to explore and play with.

Kite Flying:
Take kids to a park or open area and fly colorful kites on a breezy spring day. They’ll love watching them soar!

Bubble Play:
Create giant bubbles with wands or make your own using string and sticks. Experiment with blowing or chasing bubbles outdoors.

Nature Collage:
Collect leaves, small flowers, and twigs, then glue them onto paper to make a beautiful natural collage.

Bird Watching:
Set up a bird feeder and watch for birds. Talk about the different colors, sizes, and species you see together.

Rainbow Science Experiment:
Use water and sunlight to create rainbows with a glass and a mirror. Then, talk about the colors of the rainbow!

Outdoor Picnic:
Pack healthy snacks and a blanket, and enjoy a picnic in the backyard or park. Add fun by reading a book or singing songs together.

*These activities are perfect for encouraging curiosity, creativity, and lots of smiles this spring! Sharing them for the parents as well.
