Sometimes love sounds less like big speeches and more like:
“Do you want the last bite?”
“Want me to stay a little longer?”
“Will you play with me?”
These tiny questions become the voice our children carry with them forever.
Because kids don’t just remember how we raised them…
they remember how safe, seen, and wanted we made them feel in the ordinary moments. 🤍

Earth Day is a wonderful reminder of the peace that nature can bring to children and their families. Maria Montessori said “The land is where our roots are. The children must be taught to feel and live in harmony with the Earth.” Here are some ways to inspire our kids to respect and appreciate our Earth: 🌎 Take a nature walk and call out the sights and sounds of the woods around you
🌎 Clean up trash on your own street to demonstrate how we can take care of our neighborhood and the plants, animals and people in it
🌎 Share the significance of plants producing oxygen for us to survive, and the plants using our CO2 in return

“What did you do at school today? How was your day?”
No matter the age, we ask the question and the answer is often the same – nothing, I don’t know, I can’t remember. 🤦♀️😆
Of course, we know that’s not true! After spending the day apart, we’re all eager to hear what our little ones are up to with their teachers and friends.
Try asking these questions instead:
* What was the best/worst part of your day?
* Who did you play with outside? In the muscle room?
* What was something kind you did today? Did you help anyone?
* What did you choose for work today?
* Did someone make you laugh or smile today?
* Can you show me something you learned?
* What was the hardest part of your day?
