Welcome back OTD students! We’re excited to kick off the year as our 3rd years begin their final year of the program, ready to take on this last stretch with energy and enthusiasm.

Heat, cold, and everything in between 🔥❄️ Our 1st year OTD students put Physical Agent Modalities (PAMs) into practice during lab—working together, trying out techniques on each other, and turning classroom concepts into real clinical skills.

🎓 Capstone Highlight: Sarah Hartig 
She developed oral stimulation guidelines and training to support feeding in premature infants 💛
Her work improved provider confidence, standardized care, and aimed to enhance feeding outcomes and reduce length of stay for the tiniest patients 🙌 

Celebrating our 2nd year OTD students as they presented their research at the CAHS Scholarly Showcase!
From exploring evidence-based practice to investigating meaningful clinical questions, their work highlighted a strong commitment to advancing occupational therapy and shaping the future of the profession 👏🎓 

🎓 Capstone Highlight: Taylor Staugler
Provided hands-on coaching in the Motor Lab to support staff in addressing student sensory needs and improving participation 👏
Outcomes included 100% staff confidence, fidelity improvement from 25% to 100%, and a 22–30% increase in student engagement.

🎓 Capstone Highlight: Laura Madigan
Laura completed her capstone at Boltz to Nutz Farm, developing a low vision cooking program to increase accessibility and confidence in community cooking classes. Through environmental adaptations, assistive tools, and participant feedback, her work supported inclusive participation and community engagement 👏
