Congratulations to Anaya Scott and Kamontae Miller. At the eighth grade graduation ceremony for St. Francis de Sales School, they were the first recipients of the Ms. Delorise Staples Good Citizen Award. This award was established by St. Francis de Sales parishioners to honor Ms. Staples for her decades of service to our parish and our school. Anaya and Kamontae were chosen for the award by their classmates and teachers.

Today, our graduate of honor is our Class of 2026 Salutatorian, Chyna Weems. Chyna has been with us since preschool. Chyna has a goal of becoming an anesthesiologist in the future. She will continue her journey next year as a Purcell Marian Cavalier! ❤️💛 Congratulations Chyna!

We are incredibly proud of Yirialis ’26 on being named a 2026 Gates Scholar – one of just 750 students selected nationwide from more than 61,000 applicants! The Gates Scholarship recognizes exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and character, providing full college funding not covered by other financial aid. Yiri, our Class of 2026 valedictorian, will attend the University of Notre Dame to study political science on a pre-law track.
