Who here has struggled with bedtime routines? If your bedtime routine looks more like the left side, no shame! It's hard to make a routine work when there's tears, sibling wrestling, or a kid who wants to sprint laps the second they're out of the bath tub 🛁 If you need support and new tools specifically for YOUR family, schedule a free call here

"Sarah are you saying I have to get rid of any toys that aren't fancy learning toys??" No I promise I'm not! I am, however going to help you sort through what should stay and what should go! Go doesn't automatically mean the trash! Go can mean:
🧸Storage until it's developmentally appropriate (like an infant who has a hot wheels track)
🚗Keepsake box (for my sentimental moms out there)
🏀Rotation storage to come out in a month or so with other fresh toys
Check out if the the toys, books, etc. Are something your child is too young or old for, see if it's something your child plays with, find it's purpose or how you can use it for development, and make sure there is space for it to go!

Time for Fall Sensory Bins! 🍂🍁
Take a trip to the dollar store and buy
*rice
*fall decor
*leaves
*measuring cups & spoons
If you want to be a little extra you can add some cinnamon scent from the candle aisle (check for skin sensitivity) or add food coloring to the rice! (make sure it's well mixed and dried to avoid stained hands)

Dividing your toys and activities up into centers creates an atmosphere for learning through play. It also leaves space to get creative with the activities and objects you have.
🍂 A basket of leaves might seem strange in a play space but pair it with a magnifying glass or some paper and crayons for leaf rubbing, and you got yourself got a darn good addition to your science center.
Need some extra help? I'm accepting clients in home or virtually to set up your play space. DM me for more information.

One of my absolute FAVORITE books. I've read The Self Care Prescription multiple times and I recommend it to everyone. Sadly our society has portrayed self care as
🛁bubble baths and face masks
ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT
Caring for yourself is what fills your bucket so you can be the best parent you can be!
Do you feel better equipped when you are full?
Are your emotions easier to regulate?
How quick is your decision making and awareness?
What do your relationships look like?
Self care is critical to parenting. Here are a few things I love about this book
💡It's an easy read!
💡Each section is broken down into categories of self care (physical, social, intellectual, emotional etc.)
💡This book asks all the right questions and has a to of exercises for deep dives
💡You can read it multiple times and at different stages in your life and get something new each time!
What does self care look like to you?
