Ally Oakes Strings Ally Oakes is a violin, viola, cello, and bass teacher located on the west side of Cincinnati. I love sharing my knowledge of music with others.

My name is Ally Oakes and I am a violin, viola, cello, and bass teacher. I teach private lessons and chamber groups to students of all ages. I am a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music with a degree in Music Education. I have experience teaching students from age 5 to students in their 90's. I worked with the New Horizons Orchestra (NHO), an orchestra for adults

over 50, for three years in college. It is my time with NHO that sparked my passion for teaching and especially for teaching adults how to love string instruments. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to create music. It is my goal to help students develop the skills to feel confident and find joy in their playing. I have experience arranging music of a variety of genres for my students to play and appreciate the opportunity to learn about new genres to help students reach their goals.
