The Nest is opening a ‘cafe’ this month, starting with THIS Thursday 5/21 at 10:30!

We will be ‘cooking’ up some pizza and pasta.🍝
Exploring the funny, wiggly texture of noodles.
Crafting! and singing songs about meatballs that JUST won’t stay on your plate.
Becoming famous restaurateurs 🧑‍🍳

Hello, incase I missed you on Sunday 👋🏼I am Emily Schmidt owner and co-creator of The Nest-play for littles.

As a babysitter and mother of two, I love providing opportunities for play for pre-preschoolers that I can be a part of through questions and conversation, and ideas for what to do with what makes up the activities they have available to them…
Aaaaand this weekend was a perfect example of fun for the littles that adults could be a part of WHILE conversing with each other. The adults could meet each other or catch up…have a quick chat. It is the best of both worlds! 🥳

✈️🚞🚘⛵️it’s Spring Break in the Tri-State and The Nest is covering all modes of transportation that we use to get to our favorite places. 🏔️🏖️🎣

We will float boats, fly planes and build train tracks (my personal favorite).

The Nest will be on 4/9 and 4/23 at 10A

This time of year is all about the quiet magic of the outdoors, watching our littles change with the seasons and of course…the question, are fairies real?! We like to search the sky for rainbows, create homes for gnomes & fairies, and wait for signs of spring 🌱 will be back this Thursday at 10A (a picture of my little searching for gnomes 😉in the forest)

The littles in your life feel your love through your smiles, the songs you sing, your cuddles, during story time, meal time and in so so many more ways.

This month on 2/12 and 2/26 at 10A. We will show our littles how much we love and care for them through singing, crafting and with books that give us all the feels…AND plans for a ❤️themed pajama party 🥰Walk-in’s welcome!!

Snow Days!
The Farmers Almanac says that this will be a very wet 🌨️❄️ Winter for us…a prediction of a “wild ride” and a “chill, snow, repeat cycle” 🥴

I love the great outdoors 🌲, but we are so lucky to have an option to enjoy the fun of Winter, with our littles, in a cozy, bright, indoor space like Lilypad.

This month on 1/8 and 1/22, 10A we will waddle around, collect fish, laugh and sing with some penguin 🐧 pals! (Plushie ones of course 😉)

Also…there is another long weekend coming up😅 going along with this month’s theme…I will post a new sensory activity, available for purchase to help fill those days. Keep an eye out for that ☃️
