💦 Our CVES staff is ready to Soar into a new school year!💦

We kicked off our first day together by welcoming our new staff members into their ClubHOUSES—with water blasters revealing their new house color! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We gathered to reflect on our commitments to Churchville, teamed up for a scavenger hunt with our new staff, and revisited some of our favorite Capturing Kids’ Hearts games along the way.

It was a fun-filled day of connection, teamwork, and laughter—the perfect start to another amazing year at Churchville! We can’t wait to see all of our students soon! 💚💛

Today we're excited to introduce Mrs. Michelle Denny, our new PreK Paraeducator!
Mrs. Denny is excited to join the Churchville community and begin this new adventure with our students, staff, and families.
🌳 Outside of school, Mrs. Denny loves spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and going on new adventures.

🌤️ Soaring to New Heights: New Staff Spotlight Series🌤️
Today we're excited to introduce Ms. Rachel Potter, our new School Psychologist!
Ms. Potter recently completed her 7th year as a school psychologist and is excited to join the Churchville team. She is passionate about supporting students and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
📚 Outside of school, Ms. Potter enjoys traveling, reading, baking, and watching reality TV. She also loves spending time with family, friends, and her cat, Jasper.
💙 Ms. Potter is looking forward to meeting our students, families, and staff and becoming part of the Churchville community.

Today we're excited to introduce Mrs. Danielle Still, our new Fourth Grade Teacher!
Mrs. Still brings 12 years of experience teaching 3rd and 4th grade and is excited to begin a new chapter as a 4th grade teacher at Churchville this fall.
👨‍👩‍👦 Mrs. Still and her husband live in Bel Air with their three sons.
⚾ When she's not cheering from the sidelines at a sporting event, Mrs. Still enjoys relaxing at the beach, reading, and running.
💙 Mrs. Still is looking forward to becoming part of the Churchville community and helping students soar to new heights this school year!

Today we're excited to introduce Mr. Aaron Keithley, our new Fourth Grade Teacher!
Mr. Keithley is entering his 7th year in education where he taught 4th grade for six years. He is passionate about art, music, history, and science and is excited to bring that enthusiasm to his students.
🎸 Outside of school, Mr. Keithley enjoys attending heavy metal concerts, hiking, and spending time playing games with his friends and wife.
💙 Mr. Keithley is looking forward to meeting our students, families, and staff and becoming part of the Churchville community.

Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Amelia Kwoka, our new Third Grade Teacher!
Mrs. Kwoka is entering her 12th year in education and, after teaching 1st grade for 11 years, is excited to begin a new adventure teaching 3rd grade at Churchville.
👶 Mrs. Kwoka's one-year-old daughter has been her summer adventure buddy as they've enjoyed gardening, exploring local spots, taking walks, and baking plenty of sourdough bread together.
🏰 A special member of Mrs. Kwoka's classroom is Vern the Class Knight, who has inspired years of creative writing adventures and student storytelling.
💙 Mrs. Kwoka is excited to meet her students, families, and colleagues and can't wait for a fantastic year at Churchville!

Today's featured team member is Ms. Sydney Severino, our new Second Grade Teacher!
Ms. Severino is entering her 8th year in education where she taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
🐶 Outside of school, Ms. Severino loves spending time with her new puppy, and enjoys Pilates, reading, and reality TV.
💙 Ms. Severino is excited to get to know our students, families, and staff and is looking forward to a wonderful year at CVES.

🌤️ Soaring to New Heights: New Staff Spotlight Series🌤️
Today we're introducing another amazing addition to the CVES crew: Mrs. Kate Hughes, our new Kindergarten Teacher!
With 10 years of teaching experience in grades 2-5 in Baltimore County, Mrs. Hughes most recently worked at a preschool where her own children attended. Now a proud Harford County resident, she's excited to return to public education and begin this new chapter at CVES.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 Mrs. Hughes is a busy mom to a 1st grade son and twin daughters who are heading to preschool this fall.
🥾 When she's not managing the family "chaos committee," she enjoys hiking, reading, and catching up on her favorite Bravo shows. She believes that messy hands make memories and that there's no such thing as bad weather!
💙 We're excited to have Mrs. Hughes on our team and can't wait for our students and families to get to know her.
