Our Mother of Peace Elementary School OMP strives to achieve academic excellence taught through the words and actions of Christ.

Our Mother of Peace Elementary School is a Catholic Educational institution established for the prime purpose of teaching and fostering Catholic values, principles and beliefs. The curriculum is designed to help enhance the entire spectrum of human development through the implementation of a spiritual environment and the assessment of an academic program that stresses scholastic excellence. The ap

plication of this Catholic educational system, through the emotional, psychological, spiritual, intellectual and social development of the individual, is intended to foster an appreciation of Catholic values. This will ideally be reflected in the mature Catholic adult's perspective of life, and his or her appreciation of the Creator, and the importance of one's Catholic existence.

🍎 Buddy Program Kickoff!

The excitement was contagious as students met their 8th grade Buddies for the first time — and the feeling was completely mutual! They searched for their matching names, colored together, swapped fun facts, and even shared a snack. These small moments are the building blocks of real friendship.

Throughout the year, these pairs will grow closer through shared activities and attending Mass together — older students leading by example, younger ones looking up with wide eyes and open hearts.

It's going to be a wonderful year. What a beautiful way to live out Christ's call to love one another. 🙏

🍪 Our First Grade Smarties! 🍪

Today our first graders enjoyed the sweetest story, The Smart Cookie by Jory John! The book was a wonderful reminder that each of our students is special, capable, and has their own unique strengths.

We talked about how being “smart” can look different for everyone and how each of us has something special to share. Our students then wrote and drew about what makes them smart and special! ✏️✨

To top off our sweet lesson, each student was surprised with a special treat of their own! 🍪

We are so excited to watch these little learners grow, discover their strengths, and do great things in first grade! ❤️💙

🧪🔍 Mystery Matter Investigation! 🔍🧪

Mrs. Rachel’s 5th grade scientists put their observation skills to the test as they worked to identify mystery substances! Using the properties of matter, students carefully observed each substance by sight, smell, and touch and tested its solubility to gather clues. 👀👃✋🧫

Could they determine which mystery substances were salt, sugar, sand, flour, and baking soda? Through hands-on investigation, careful observations, and a little scientific reasoning, our 5th graders cracked the case! 🔬💡

Learning science is always more fun when there’s a mystery to solve! 🕵️‍♀️🧪

Our Wildcats had the BEST first full day of school! 🌟

Today, our students celebrated with popsicles and a dance party! 🍧🎶 It was the perfect way to celebrate being back together and officially kick off the new school year.

There’s nothing better than having all of our Wildcats together again! 🐾❤️ We’re looking forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, and lots of memories!
