While students did not organize to charter the SWC/Jaguar Business Club this semester, there is a new Global Economics Club.

This Friday September 22, 2023 will be the first Global Economics Club meeting of the Fall 2023 semester! Come on by and say "hello."

This meeting will be the introductory meeting explaining the clubs goals, meeting structure, what topics the club would like to cover and answering questions about the club.

Paid Internship Position

Customs Brokerage/Freight Forwarding company is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a paid Internship position with our company in the Otay Mesa area. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about International Logistics with hands-on experience.

The right candidate should possess the following:
• Excellent Communications Skills
• Team Player / the ability to work well with others and to function under pressure.
• Exceptional organizational skills, the ability to multi-task and good judgement to make decisions.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Fluent in English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.

This Internship will provide you the opportunity to learn about:
• Customs regulatory procedures
• FDA, USDA and other OGA regulatory procedures
• Auditing of shipping documents, Powers of Attorney’s and other documentation related to International shipping.
• Logistics process both Domestic and International
• Warehouse procedures

We are considering a paid-intern on a part-time basis through at least the end of the year. Possible full-time position may be offered to the right candidate after 3-month period if desired.

The pay will be $13.00/hour.
