💙 Saturday’s Dementia Training: A Reminder of Why We Do What We Do 💙
This past Saturday, I had the privilege of leading a Dementia Care Training for our incredible caregivers at A Passion for Care — and it truly filled my heart.
Every time we come together for training, I’m reminded that caregiving is not just about routines and tasks… it’s about understanding, patience, and empathy.
When we truly understand how dementia affects the brain and behavior, we stop seeing “resistance” or “confusion” — and start seeing the person behind those changes.
Our clients living with dementia still have needs, emotions, and abilities. They still want to be respected, heard, and included. And our caregivers have the power to bring them comfort, calm, and even joy — just by the way they connect.
Watching our caregivers share their experiences, ask thoughtful questions, and support each other reminded me how special this team is. Their compassion and willingness to learn are what make A Passion for Care so unique.
I’m beyond proud of the work we do — continuing to grow, learn, and care with heart. 💜

Today, I had the pleasure of hosting a Certified Senior Advisor meeting featuring expert guest speaker, Dr. Natalie Kurniadi, PhD.
We explored the critical role of neuropsychological testing in accurately diagnosing dementia and other cognitive or mental health conditions.
Dr. Kurniadi offered valuable insight on how these evaluations help differentiate between dementia, depression, and other disorders—leading to better care plans and outcomes for older adults.
This meeting was also a beautiful reminder of how collaborating and staying connected with fellow professionals strengthens our ability to support the aging population. When we come together to share knowledge, we elevate the care we provide and create a more informed, compassionate community for seniors and their families.

Death isn’t just an ending—it’s a sacred transition. Death doulas walk beside individuals and families during one of life’s most tender and powerful chapters. They offer presence, peace, and purpose when words fall short.
Holding space. Easing fear. Honoring the journey.
To all death doulas—thank you for your quiet strength and compassionate guidance.

Sometimes the strongest move is knowing when to pause. Step back, breathe deep, and come back unstoppable.
You don’t need a plane ticket to reset—just a moment to breathe, reflect, and realign.
