Parking will be free in lots J and L the day of the event and food will be provided!
Student research will be from, The Naval Information Warfare Center, the SDSU Research Academy, and several other research education for undergraduate programs.

The NASA-sponsored Eclipse Ambassador Program is looking for undergraduate students who want to partner with local amateur astronomers to help prepare their communities for the two North American solar eclipses occurring on Oct. 14, 2023 and Apr. 8, 2024. The ideal partner is an undergraduate who enjoys public outreach and has an interest in eclipses. Additionally, the undergraduate applicant can be from any discipline – not just science focused. Application is open on a rolling basis.

The SWE Community College Affiliate Support and Expansion (CCASE) Program aims to increase support for existing and the expansion of new Community College Affiliates in the United States. To do this, SWE will offer direct support for professional development and outreach activities through financial and membership incentives. The CCASE Program provides stipends and free memberships to existing and new SWE Community College Affiliates.
There is no deadline for submitting your funding requests, but the application form will close on December 1, 2023.

The MESA Pre-College Program focused on K-12 programming in San Diego is in search of Undergraduate Students that could join the team and make a difference in the community. The program works very closely with several middle and high schools in the San Diego region throughout the academic year. While STEM experiences vary depending on grade level, one goal of our efforts with our students is to spark an interest in STEM and you can be a part of that! Once part of the team and after being trained, our undergraduate team visits our school sites to host hands-on activities and workshops throughout the semester while sharing their STEM/college journey. Additionally, our Undergraduate Team assists with STEM competitions and experiences throughout San Diego. Apply today!!

The department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University has a long history of developing cutting-edge technologies that meaningfully improve the treatment of these devastating cancers. In this overview, members of our program will showcase different the different career options available in Radiation Oncology.
This presentation will be of interest to undergraduate students considering careers in the healthcare, biomedical research, or biomedical physics and engineering. Students from community colleges in the Bay Area and beyond are especially welcome to attend.

The USC Viterbi Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) is an 8-week summer residential research program at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. The program provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects with academic-industry collaboration under the mentorship of Viterbi faculty and PhD students. The SURE program focuses on undergraduate students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in STEM and allows participants to develop skill sets in research towards their long-term career goals. Participants also will engage in professional network opportunities and build relationships that will expand their academic and professional horizons. The overarching goal of SURE is to help students develop an understanding of research in engineering disciplines, and preparing students with skills for successful academic careers in engineering graduate programs.
