Science doesn't lie. Like.some congressman and President!!
Over 150 scientists and health officials signed a letter urging the Trump administration to halt what they call a ‘coordinate campaign of harassment’ against Anthony Fauci and scientific experts.
The letter warns that politically motivated attacks, public harassment, and threats of criminal prosecution against public health figures threaten to compromise the future of American scientific innovation.
The signees strongly dismissed what they termed 'absurd' and 'baseless' accusations against Fauci, asserting that there is no credible evidence suggesting he covered up the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The escalating friction highlights a deeper partisan divide in Washington over the legacy of pandemic-era policies, with some congressional leaders threatening to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress. Advocates of the letter argue that targeting individual scientists undermines the credibility of public health institutions and leaves the nation poorly prepared for future health crises.
By calling on lawmakers to support objective scientific practice rather than political prosecution, these professionals hope to protect the integrity of the broader scientific community from becoming casualties of partisan warfare.
