🎉 Proud moment for our studio — congratulations to Mackenzie, one of our accelerated students, on earning his Yellow Music Theory Belt! 🌟👏

Mackenzie has worked diligently to master the fundamentals: reading the staff and clefs, identifying notes, understanding whole/half/quarter/eighth notes and their rests, and practicing rhythm through tapping and counting (“1 & 2 &”). These core skills give him the confidence to read simple melodies, maintain a steady pulse, and play more assuredly.

Meet Javen! 🎹✨ In just two months (8 lessons) he’s learned over 80 songs, attended every class, and kept a curious, positive attitude throughout. Our fast-paced, creative program builds solid skills in each session and motivates daily home practice—Javen practices two hours a day, and the results speak for themselves. Mia just leveled up! 🎶🥋 After passing two theory levels (orange and yellow belts), she’s now working toward her green music‑theory belt. She’s studying key signatures, expanding her note knowledge in treble and bass clefs, and sharpening sight‑reading — she passed a recent note test and is working toward our one‑minute reading goal.

In class we analyzed pieces and practiced correct dynamics and articulation. Mistakes are welcome — they’re opportunities to learn and improve. With clear strategies for counting and identifying notes, students build confidence and keep progressing. Beautiful focus and progress — keep it up, Mia! 💛

Meet Jaecoby! 🎹✨ After just two months (8 classes) he’s learned 80+ songs, never missed class, and stayed curious and positive the whole time. Our accelerated, innovative program builds strong learning in every lesson and inspires daily practice at home—Jaecoby now practices two hours a day, and the progress is clear. Summer season finale — our students gave a beautiful mini-recital celebrating everything they learned at camp. 🎶☀️

Fall session starts next week — please bring your child’s books to class. We’ll focus on book work through the end of September. In October we’ll begin preparing for the Boo Day recital with a month of spooky, sad, and melancholy pieces; technique will reflect that mood. 👻🍂
