Pauline’s Jaguar Journey reflects resilience, determination, and purpose. During her time at SWC, she overcame homelessness, the loss of her father, and financial hardship while pursuing her education under the mentorship of faculty including Professor Max Branscomb.

With support from mentors and her unwavering perseverance, she transferred to SDSU and launched a successful career in communications and the music industry. Today, she continues to inspire others through her leadership, creativity, and commitment to giving back.

Today, SWC observes Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and celebrates freedom, resilience, culture, and progress.

In observance of Juneteenth, all Southwestern College campuses and centers are closed today.
