Scrambled Eggs! This was such a fun activity-
•learners select a plastic egg and crackers it open
•they then unscramble the letters to make one of our sight words
•finally, they find the word they made and color it on their recording sheet

I’ve been a little quiet over here. Mostly because I’m processing all the emotion as I wait for a few issues at the new building to shake out. And in the meantime, I’m reminding myself that it’s all going to work out. Somehow.
In the meantime, it’s summer camp week.
Science camp for the win.
Today we built bridges with different materials, experimented with what sinks and what floats, and made and launched stomp rockets.
Tomorrow, we make ice cream.
Our August camp still has a few spots left in it if you’re looking for a fun little outing for your pre-kinder kiddos.
And just 6 spots left for fall classes.

Don’t wait! They will fill quickly.

So much work to be done here but we are getting started on the outside. Can’t believe the difference just getting the letters off made. Eventually we’ll raise the awning and get some paint on the front. It’s going to be a process but it’s going to be worth it. (I’m telling myself that because sometimes I wonder. 😂😜)

We have spent the week over on ClassDojo but if you’re missing all the fun, here are a few student pictures of their creations. This week is letter A and some activities with wind. I sure miss these kiddos but I love seeing their faces via pictures. It really does feel like we are learning together.

Here are a few examples of ways to use activities in your learning packet. These are all things I did during our guided reading time, except for the puzzle. We did that during free time. And Grant was so excited to have finished all the activities in his week 1 bag. How are the activities going for you? We’d love you to share what your working on and tag us in your post.

First we did roll and cover with our numbers. Then we said each number as we ate off the “cover”. So simple.
We only did about 30 minutes today and then he worked on ABCmouse.com. It’s a fun app that can be customized to your child’s level. Do what you can. It all makes a difference. I’ll be sharing our learning adventures right here, as well as our class books and helps with the activities from your learning packets. I hope you’ll share your learning fun too and tag us. 😊
