Cougar Family,
As we wrap up our first few weeks of the 2026–27 school year, I want to take a moment to say how proud and grateful I am for the way our Christoval ISD family has started the year.
It is an honor to serve as your superintendent, and I am incredibly thankful to be part of a community that cares so deeply about our students, our schools, and one another. Walking through our campuses these last two weeks, it was exciting to see our students back in the classrooms, our teachers building relationships, and the energy that comes with the beginning of another school year.
Our students have looked great, and our staff has done an outstanding job getting the year off to a strong start. I have enjoyed being in classrooms and seeing our teachers doing what they do best: building relationships, setting high expectations, supporting students, and creating opportunities for our kids to learn and grow.
This year is especially exciting as we celebrate the opening of our new Intermediate School. Opening a brand-new campus is a tremendous accomplishment for our district and our community, and we are incredibly proud to see our students and staff making it their own. With any new school comes a few unexpected challenges and opportunities to work out the kinks, and I want to sincerely thank our parents, students, and staff for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work through those things. Most importantly, thank you for trusting us with this project and with your children. We are committed to making the new Intermediate School everything our students and community deserve, and we appreciate everyone's partnership as we continue to fine-tune the campus.
At Christoval ISD, our focus remains simple: putting students first and providing them with the opportunities, support, and experiences they need to be successful.
We also recognize that a successful school year is about more than academics. It is about developing character, building confidence, encouraging students to discover their talents, and preparing them to be successful beyond high school. Whether that happens in the classroom, on the athletic field, on the stage, through FFA, DECA, robotics, band, or one of the many other opportunities available to our students, we want every Cougar to find a place to belong and a reason to be proud of Christoval ISD.
To our teachers and staff, thank you for the countless hours and tremendous effort you put into preparing for this school year. Your dedication to our students does not go unnoticed, and we are fortunate to have such a committed team.
To our students, thank you for bringing energy, enthusiasm, and Cougar pride to our schools. We are excited to watch you learn, compete, grow, and accomplish great things this year.
And to our parents and families, thank you for trusting us with your children. We understand the responsibility that comes with that trust, and we will continue to work every day to make Christoval ISD a place where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and valued.
Finally, to the entire Christoval community, thank you for the support you continue to show our schools. One of the greatest strengths of a small school district is the sense of community we share. When our schools succeed, our entire community succeeds.
We have had a great first few weeks, and there is a lot of exciting work ahead. I am looking forward to everything we will accomplish together during the 2026–27 school year.
Go Cougars!
