During the lesson, the prek l children explored puzzle pieces by flipping and rotating them to discover where they fit. 🔄 I demonstrated how to turn a puzzle piece around and encouraged the children to try different positions to complete the puzzle. The children worked together, shared ideas, and practiced problem-solving skills. 🤝🎯 They were also invited to create their own puzzles by drawing pictures on paper or cardboard, cutting them into 4–6 pieces, and putting them back together. 🎨✂️ The activity encouraged creativity, patience, fine motor skills, and spatial awareness while making learning fun and engaging. 🌟😊

Today, our threes explored colors, shapes, and nature through a creative art activity! The children observed different colors in pictures, chose colors for their artwork, and used stencils to create fun shapes. 🖍️🔺 They practiced tracing shapes with their fingers and describing the pictures they created. The children also explored leaves, identifying their colors and finding matching colors in their paintings. 🍂💚

This engaging activity encouraged creativity, fine motor development, color and shape recognition, and early language skills. 👐✨ As the children shared their ideas and described their artwork, they practiced observation, communication, and self-expression while making connections between art and the natural world. 🌿💛

Today, our infants explored ice cubes through hands-on sensory play! 👐 The babies practiced picking up the ice cubes and dropping them, discovering how they felt cold, slippery, and smooth. 🧊💧 This fun activity encouraged curiosity and exploration while helping develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and grasp-and-release movements. 👶✨ The infants enjoyed using their senses to explore the properties of ice while learning through play! 💙❄️

Today, in the infant rooms our little learners enjoyed music and movement! 🎶 We reached our arms out wide to make ourselves BIG 🙌 and squatted down low to make ourselves SMALL 🐣. The babies were encouraged to watch, listen, and join in by moving their bodies in their own ways. We had fun exploring movement, building body awareness, and developing gross motor skills through playful interaction!

❄️ Coffee Filter Snowflakes 🎨💧in prek today the children decorated their coffee filters with colorful markers and folded them in half three times. When they added water, they watched in excitement as the colors blended together and spread across the filter. 🌈💦 This happened because the water carried the marker ink through the paper fibers, creating beautiful patterns and new colors.
After the filters dried, the children cut shapes along the folded edges and carefully unfolded them to reveal their unique snowflakes. ✂️❄️ Each snowflake was different, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and exploration! 🌟
Through this activity, the children explored color mixing, observed how water moves through paper, and practiced their fine motor skills through folding and cutting. 👐😊y

Today, in the todds twos the children had fun exploring playdough and nature items! 🌿😊 They rolled the playdough flat and pressed different leaves, sticks, and other nature items into it to create interesting marks and textures. 🌱🖐️ The children noticed how the playdough changed and enjoyed looking at the different patterns they made. 👀✨
The children also used blue playdough to fill the raindrop spaces and yellow playdough for the sun-ray spaces on the mat. 💙🌧️💛☀️ When asked, “What color is the raindrop?” the children practiced identifying and naming the color blue. 🔵 They enjoyed squishing, rolling, pressing, and shaping the playdough while developing their fine-motor skills. 💪👐🎨

☁️✨ today in the in the todds twos classroom The children explored cotton balls and used glue to create their own fluffy clouds on paper. They enjoyed pulling the cotton balls apart, layering them, and arranging them in different ways. 🎨🖐️ The children used their creativity and imagination to add details to their clouds while sharing what they were making and where they wanted to place each piece. 🌈☁️

Today, in threes the children learned all about the sun rising and setting! ☀️🌅🌇 We talked about how the sun comes up in the morning and goes down in the evening. The children shared things they do during the day, like waking up, eating breakfast, and playing, and things they do at night, like taking a bath and getting ready for bed. 🥞🧸🛁😴
We also used our bodies to pretend to be the sun! ☀️ The children stretched up tall with their arms reaching toward the sky to show the sun rising 🌅. Then they slowly crouched down low to show the sun setting 🌇. They had so much fun moving, stretching, and learning together! ☀️💛🌙
