Mrs.Hart and Mrs.Hale’s 7th grade Honors ELA students recently participated in a Socratic Seminar centered around The Elevator. Students were challenged to look beyond the literal events of the story and engage in a thoughtful discussion about its metaphorical meaning.
Students came prepared to share ideas, build on their classmates’ thinking, ask meaningful questions, and support their interpretations with evidence from the text. They absolutely excelled with this activity, demonstrating impressive critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills while working at a very high level!
