Jan 11 at Roanoke College was the first ever competition in the FTC league in the Roanoke valley! 30 of 33 teams were from high schools, so the average team there had 2 or 3 times the experience we do. After 5 matches, ALMS still qualified in the top 1/3 of the standings and were selected into the 12-team tournament. Our #4 seed alliance went against the #1 seeds in the first round and could not advance any further. But that was still a great day and valued experience for the team. Photos will be uploaded soon!

The team did well on 12/7 (qualifying 12th as one of only two middle school teams in a field of 33) but that’s just a mile post on our journey this year. So let’s stay focused and continue to grow and learn! We are grateful for all the support from our parents, our sponsors, and our school!!
