The annual Aggie Open at Chennault was a lot of fun today. Congratulations to the winning team Mr. Landon Wade, Coach Joel Antley, and Coach Austin Riser. They shot an impressive 7 under par and brought home the gold medals! We hope you are all enjoying your Fall Break!

💙💛 THANK YOU, AGGIE COMMUNITY! 💛💙

Choudrant High School raised almost $24,000 through our discount card fundraiser, achieving an outstanding 96% profit margin!

We are incredibly grateful to our student-athletes for their hard work selling cards, our parents for their encouragement and support, and our community for purchasing cards and investing in our athletes.

We also sincerely appreciate the local businesses that provided discounts and helped make this fundraiser possible. A special thank-you goes to Coach Ryan Smith for helping bring our local businesses on board and contributing to the success of this fundraiser!

The funds raised will be used to pay off the new weight room equipment. Any remaining funds will be distributed among the athletic teams that participated in the card sales.

We also want to thank the Village of Choudrant and the Lincoln Parish School Board for the $40,000 they invested in refurbishing our tennis courts! We appreciate their commitment to improving our athletic facilities and creating more opportunities for our students.

We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for our students. Thank you for supporting our Aggies!

Pre-Med Day at LSU Shreveport.

This is a one-day event where students will be able to rotate through stations led by medical students and healthcare professionals. This allows them the opportunity to gain both practical skills and insider insight into the journey to medical school.

Event highlights include:

· Hands-on suturing workshops

· Airway management and intubation simulations

· Exclusive anatomy lab tour

· Resume and personal statement workshops

· Direct interaction with current medical students

· Guidance on preparing for medical school and healthcare careers

TOURNAMENT UPDATES!
1. All matches will be played at the Ruston Tennis Complex due to the Choudrant courts being resurfaced (which we are super excited about)!
2. Looking for a volunteer(s) to help run the check-in desk
3. Looking for volunteer(s) to help with grilling hamburgers and hot dogs Saturday for lunch

Coach Hixon’s Engineering class aka the “Aggie Navy” tested their cardboard boats today. All of the boats met the requirements for the project, but only 1 stood up to the additional testing. Reaper Boats might need to enlist some of these engineers!
