Fourth grade finished up their energy unit with planning and creating solar ovens!

They tested them, and they all seemed to work! The cool part is the chocolate tasted just as good melted. 😆🍫☀️

DONATION CALENDAR CHALLENGE 🎉
September 28 – October 9
How Does the Donation Calendar Work?
Each class will work together as a team to fill their donation calendar!
Every day on the calendar has a dollar amount and a prize that corresponds with that day. When your class collects and donates the amount shown for a day, that day is filled and your class earns the prize connected to it!
💰 How Donations Work
• Donate the dollar amount shown on the calendar to fill that day.
• Donations can be combined or split across multiple days.
• For example, if you would like to donate $20, you could fill multiple days:
◦ $7 + $13 = $20
◦ $14 + $6 = $20
◦ $3 + $2 + $5 + $10 = $20
• There is no requirement to fill the days in numerical order.
• Every dollar helps your class work toward its prizes!
🏆 Work Together!
The class and teacher will work together to decide which prizes they want to work toward first.
Your class can choose to:
• Work toward smaller prizes first
• Save donations for a favorite prize
• Fill several days at once
• Work together to complete as much of the calendar as possible
The goal is to work together, have fun, and fill as much of your calendar as possible!
📅 Important Dates
Donation Calendar Begins: September 28Last Day to Fill Your Calendar: October 9
🌟 GRAND PRIZE 🌟
The class that fills the most of their donation calendar will earn a SPECIAL LUNCH WITH THE PRINCIPALS!🎉🍕🥤
❤️ Remember:
Every donation counts! Every day brings your class closer to earning an exciting prize!

The House of the Week goes to….
𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗼🖤🖤🖤!!

They had the most points earned during our first week of implementing the house system. An extra 10-15 minute recess was given to them at the end of the day. We are super proud of them and the effort made of all students this week. 🫶

They have really enjoyed earning points for good behavior, working hard, effort, being their personal best and showing the GOLD standard.

Every week, the house with the most points will be “𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠"! 💚💙🖤❤️
