It's a bird, it's a plane, it's superheroes!

This was superhero week. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

Our young heroes received a mask and cape of their color choice. We had story time and had discussions on judging and saying kind things to others.

During morning work time the younger kids worked on fun superhero worksheets while the older kids solved a multi-day math mystery to uncover the identity of the villain who was terrorizing the city.

For our science experiment, we had small plastic superhero toys frozen into colored water. The kids had to decide if they thought plain water, vinegar water, or salt water would melt the ice more quickly. Many of them guessed correctly with salt water. Then they sprayed the different water mixtures to free their plastic friends.

We finished the week with some Father's Day crafts.

Our costumed heroes headed home to tell stories of their heroic adventures.
