Owning a firearm comes with a responsibility that doesn't end when you leave the range — how you store it matters just as much as how you shoot it.

Here's the golden rule: fi****ms should be stored unloaded, secured, and separate from ammunition whenever they're not in use.

Not sure what "secured" looks like for you? It depends on your needs:
🔹 Trigger locks — simple, affordable, and better than nothing
🔹 Lock boxes — great for a single firearm you want out of reach but still relatively quick to access
🔹 Safes — the gold standard for multiple fi****ms or long-term storage

If your firearm is for home defense, consider a quick-access safe (biometric or keypad) so security doesn't come at the cost of response time in an emergency.

Safe storage is one of the simplest, most effective ways to prevent accidents and keep fi****ms out of the wrong hands — especially in homes with kids, grandkids, or frequent guests.

Want to become a better, safer shooter without spending a dime on ammo? Dry fire practice is one of the most underrated tools in your training toolbox.

Dry firing lets you build muscle memory for trigger control, sight alignment, and draw stroke — all without live rounds. It's how you train your brain and body to react correctly under pressure, so when you're at the range (or in a real-world situation), those fundamentals are already second nature.

A few minutes of focused dry fire practice a few times a week can do more for your accuracy and confidence than an occasional trip to the range. Just remember the golden rules: triple-check your firearm is unloaded, clear your live ammo from the room, and always aim at a safe target.
