CESA #11 Head Start employs highly qualified teachers who enjoy working with young children and their families. All teachers have an early childhood background with either an AA or BS degree. Many of our centers collaborate with local school districts to provide 4K education and teachers in those classrooms are all DPI licensed by the state of Wisconsin. Our teachers provide on-going assessment and incorporate activities into the classroom that meet the unique needs of each child. Teachers are trained on Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS), The Pyramid Model (for social/emotional health), and the Head Start outcomes framework. Understanding the development of children, from birth to age five, enables teachers to be intentional and thoughtful in their daily interactions. Children learn through play and our teachers recognize the importance of allowing children opportunities to investigate, explore, and manipulate their world. Our teachers are early learning advocates who spark the curiosity in children and instill a love of learning.

Join us for our next Parent Connections meeting. This is a relaxed, welcoming space for parents to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another about the joys and challenges of parenting.

Tomorrow, we’ll be talking about temper tantrums and the power of attention! We’ll explore why children have tantrums, how our attention can influence behavior, and strategies we can use at home.

October is Head Start Awareness Month, a time to recognize the children, families, educators, and staff who make Head Start such an important part of communities across the country.

For more than 60 years, Head Start has helped children build a strong foundation for school and life while supporting parents and families along the way.

I’m proud to recognize Head Start Awareness Month and the people who make this program possible every day.

📚☀️ Goodbye School, Hello Summer! ☀️📚

Today marks the last day of another wonderful school year at Head Start! What an incredible journey it has been watching our students learn, grow, make friends, and reach new milestones.

To our amazing families, thank you for your support, partnership, and trust throughout the year. It has been a joy to be part of your child's learning adventure.

As we head into summer, we hope your days are filled with sunshine, laughter, new memories, and plenty of fun. Take time to relax, explore, read together, and enjoy every moment with your little ones.

We are so proud of all our students and can't wait to see what the future holds for each of them. Have a safe, happy, and unforgettable summer!
