Meet your PTO Secretary, interim Vice President, Jessica Samb:

Hi, I’m Jessica Samb. My husband John and I are both in education so we love to support the Hillcrest staff, students, and families. I am a special education teacher at Chi-Hi and my husband John is an assistant principal at Eau Claire North. We have two children; Claire is a sophomore at Ch-Hi, and Nolan is a 2nd grader.
In my personal time, I enjoy practicing good soul and self-care, leading worship at Valley Vineyard church, and reading for pleasure. My order of priorities go faith, family, friends, and finally….. FOOTBALL. My husband and I are huge football fans supporting the Badgers and Packers. Go Pack Go!
I joined the PTO because honestly, I want to know what’s going on in my child’s school and how I can best support the staff, students, and families. I want to help make Hillcrest a wonderful experience for all and I am truly a part of this organization to serve! We welcome new faces and ideas and I hope you will join us!

We are excited to announce that Amy Gamerdinger Jeffers has graciously accepted the position of PTO Secretary! We are thrilled to start the 2026-2027 school year with a full executive board.

We are looking to add 6 board members at large who will each chair a committee. Here are the events that we would like committee chairs for:

Committees:

Halloween Dance (October)
Holiday Store (December)
Read-A-Thon (April)
End of the School Year Carnival (May/June)

The reality is we need help beyond the 4 executive board members to make all these joy filled events happen. Please message us for more details or better yet come to our first meeting on Monday, September 14th at 6pm!

Meet your Hillcrest PTO Vice President, interim President, Tiffany Turner:
Hi, I'm Tiffany, or you may have heard of me as Mrs. T.
I am a Hillcrest parent as well as a Hillcrest team member as an Educational Assistant. I have two daughters at Hillcrest. Stella is in 5th grade and Scarlett is in 2nd grade.
I joined the PTO board to bring people together. We have so many wonderful families at Hillcrest, I wanted to be a part of bringing everyone together to enjoy time with their kids and their friends!
My favorite PTO event is the Halloween dance.

As the new school year quickly approaches we need to let you know of some Hillcrest PTO changes.

Our PTO President, Rachel Burman, has stepped down.

Thank you, Rachel, for all the time you committed to helping our school community become a better place.

With that said, our PTO Vice President, Tiffany Turner, will become our interim President and our PTO Secretary, Jessica Samb, will become our interim Vice President. Jake Feigum will continue as our PTO Treasurer.

Now, we need your help!

Would you be interested in joining our PTO board?

We meet once per month, in the evening, during the school year.

Our main goal is to bring together Hillcrest families by hosting events such as dances, movie nights, special guests such as magicians, our end of year carnival, the annual Read-A-Thon.... just to name a few. The ideas are infinite!

A three person board can not do this all alone. Help us make our Hillcrest community the best place to be for our kiddo's and their families!

Good morning!!
On Thursday 4:30 AM coffee truck will be at the school for teacher appreciation day. If you would like to purchase coffee please come and be aware of wait times. She is there 630-915.

Good morning!

What a wonderful readathon! We have read over 107,000 minutes and raised over $10,000 for the PTO!

You may wonder what the funds cover. As the PTO we still have a $15,000 playground balance to pay by the end of the year. We also fund a lot of the student experiences at the school such as the Snake Discovery (and many more). We also help pay for some of the field trips for each grade. As well as give teachers stipends for their classrooms and fun nights/events for students! The funds will help us continue to provide for the school, staff, and students!

With that being said our Final Cut off for the assembly numbers will be 6pm on Thursday! Please enter all numbers and donations by then to count towards the numbers!

We will be having a celebration assembly for students during school Friday and a celebration dance from 630-8 pm on Friday (the 17th). Hillcrest families are allowed to attend with the students. Not open to the public!

Thank you all for your dedication to the students and staff at Hillcrest!
