Weather Update For Washington County Schools

Families and staff,
Out of care for our students, employees, and families, Washington County School District will dismiss at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8. Schools will be closed on Friday, October 9, due to forecasted weather conditions.
A shelter will open at WAVE at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, at 934 Tiger Loop, Chipley, Florida 32428. This early release gives families time to get home, make plans, and shelter in place. Student and staff safety is always our top priority.
Please stay safe. More information will continue to be shared through ParentSquare and our social media.
Thank you for your understanding.

Our 5th graders have been working on adding and subtracting decimals. As a follow up activity teachers had a Real World Activity on Friday for students. Students were given a budget and had problems to solve to see if they could place their order and include a tip. They also had to figure out how much change they would receive back. While doing this activity they were able to enjoy chips, salsa, and queso from the Cancun’s Mexican Grill in Bonifay.
