Disappointed but not defeated. AB 84 passed the Assembly, despite clear opposition from legislators who know it’s harmful and overreaching. Now it heads to the Senate.

AB 84 has passed the Assembly floor and is now headed to the Senate.

It was incredibly frustrating to hear so many legislators acknowledge our opposition, yet still vote yes. Many of them have heard directly from our community, and some even shared thoughtful comments in our defense. But in the end, they did not stand with us.

Unfortunately, our fight against AB 84 will now continue through the summer as it moves through the Senate.
