🎸🎼 VIDEO 7: guitar . TREMOLO FINGERINGS: slow motion of a few proposed right hand fi*****ngs for playing tremolo. Which is your favorite? I suggest trying all these out and start slow to feel comfortable, then go faster step by step while always maintaining control. Also notice how I overextend the middle finger, when moving from ring finger? This is to exercise the muscle that ties the two fingers closely. Happy practicing and stay safe! 🎼😀

Over the last couple of months, I've been in contact with an instrument manufacturer from China, Aileen Music. They make all sorts of instruments, strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion, keyboards, and all sorts of accessories.
Their guitar division makes guitars under the Winzz name.
The company got my attention when a student came in with a Winzz guitar and it looked nice and sounded pretty good. I asked if I could see it up close and play it, and tried it out. The guitar had a decent tone and it was easy to play. The action was good, the intonation was satisfactory, and it stayed in tune pretty well.
This past NAMM show, I came across their name online and submitted a request for more information about them, and inquired about getting dealer pricing for resale.
They responded just after the NAMM show and we conversed numerous times about LearnGuitare and what I do. They sent me a quote on various guitars, nylon string, steel string acoustic and electric acoustics, and various accessories. Their pricing looked good and I thought I could do something with what they were offering.
A couple of weeks went by and after a few eBay sales, they wanted to talk to me about stocking their guitars and displaying them at LearnGuitare. I agreed and they gave me 6-7 different models to display on consignment, with the option of replacing each instrument as I sell them. They have a warehouse in nearby San Dimas which makes this very convenient!
I've had a lot of interest in them and sold one a week later to a student who was having trouble with her fingers hurting playing her steel-string JW guitar. I pulled a nylon string Winzz off the wall and had her try it, and she was happy that it played so easily and bought it the next week.
Anyway, I'll be posting more information on these guitars soon.
They are really easy to play, they have good tone and are affordable, and in a good price range.
If you're interested, get in contact with me and we'll talk.

A bunch of private students as well.
Ill tell you folks...this has been one of those "with every cloud, there's a silver lining"...things.
Ive thought about it and its really true. Now that Im set up to do this, I can really teach those that feel my studio (In Chino) is too far away.
I wont have to turn away clients just because they feel its too far away for them.

A note to a parent earlier today...
"Just a note for you...he's really improving. Lately we've been working on songs that he wants to learn.
The combination of the MIT method book and songs he wants to learn have been so beneficial to his progress, and he's having fun as well!"
A lot of students that work with me are the product of parents of the classic rock era. Their kids have grown up on The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Deep Purple amongst others...
When I'm teaching these students, it's such a joy...it reminds me of sitting in front of my stereo listening and learning.
Let's keep on keepin' on!

I've had a number of new students starting up this and next month. A few walk ins and some continuing students from my City of Chino Hills Recreation classes. All a good thing for sure!
But none have pleased me more to have a returning student, Phil Clemente walk through my doors today with his guitar in hand.
Cheers to a new phase in your progress to reach your new goals brother Phil!
We'll get there!

I love that the publishers of the Kids guitar method books have gone back to include a certificate of achievement.
This is a big deal and quite an accomplishment for the young beginner!

Added a new student to a continuing group today. She fit right in and did great! We are 5 strong and working really, really well together!
Today's songs were 'The Star Spangled Banner', The Beatles, 'Nowhere Man' and Ben E. King's classic, 'Stand By Me'.
In addition to that, we learned various quarter and eighth note rhythms with various chords. By next week, we'll be able to play syncopated strumming patterns as well.
Really proud of this group...they are gelling and getting "in the groove"...
