Chino & Prescott Locations Music has always held a special place in my heart, and I'm passionate about sharing that joy with others. That's why I teach piano – I believe it gives children the incredible ability to create something beautiful and express themselves creatively. Seeing a child's confidence blossom as they learn to play is truly magical! My musical journey began at

the age of six with piano lessons. My love for music grew, leading me to sing in church choirs and learn the flute in middle school. During college, I majored in piano performance and continued honing my skills under the guidance of my professor. It was also during this time that I discovered the joy of teaching young minds the wonders of piano. Fast forward to 2019, after taking a break to raise my family, I rekindled my passion for teaching and re-established my piano studio. As a homeschooling mom of six (two of whom recently graduated in 2023!), I understand the importance of fostering a love of learning in a nurturing environment. Music is a vibrant part of our household – three of my children play piano, and most of them sing, play guitar and the ukelele. When you choose my studio, your child will learn in a comfortable and safe environment, right in my home. Each week, we'll embark on a musical journey focused on progress, fun, and nurturing a lifelong love for music. Beyond music, I enjoy spending time with my husband (since 2004!), tending to our farm animals and garden, getting lost in a good historical fiction book, and unwinding with a cup of chai.

As this year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on just how much growth has happened in the studio—and I’m honestly so proud of what has been built here.

Over the past year, the studio has grown to 18 active students, with several more joining us in January. That growth didn’t happen by accident—it came from intentional teaching, steady refinement, and a deep commitment to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students can truly thrive.

I’ve watched beginners become confident in their ability to read music, hesitant players find their musical voice, and students of all ages learn what consistency and perseverance really look like. The progress I’ve seen—both musically and personally—has been incredibly rewarding.

And I want to say this out loud: I’m proud of the work I have done as a teacher and studio owner. I’ve been thoughtful about how I grow—protecting lesson quality, honoring each student’s pace, and staying true to the kind of studio culture I value. Because of that, the studio is now at maximum capacity, with a waitlist for future openings.

To my students: your dedication and willingness to keep showing up matter more than you know.

To the families who support them: thank you for trusting me with this journey.

This year has been something special, and I’m so excited to see where we grow next. 🎶

I’m so excited for all my students to meet the newest little helpers in my studio — the Piano Piglets, Paul and Penny!
These adorable piggies are here to help students strengthen their fingers and keep those wrists nice and level.

They make learning correct techniques so much more fun!

🎹 In our studio, we love making piano lessons feel like an adventure—and that’s exactly why we use the Very Useful (VU) Piano Library by Andrea and Trevor Dow!

This playful and imaginative collection is growing into a 17-level series (A through Q!) designed to support and enhance what students are learning in their primer and early level method books. 📚✨

For our Primer through Level 3 students, these books offer a fun way to build confidence, reinforce important concepts, and keep motivation high at the piano.

🎹 Level I: Ludwig van Bites-often Needs A Friend
🎹 Level J: The Rainbow Salad Songbook, The Very Annoying Rooster’s Barnyard Songbook
🎹 Level K: Flight Is Not My Forte, Comet’s Freezing Cold Carols

Each one is packed with creativity, humor, and just the right amount of challenge—because learning should be fun from the very first note! 🎶💫

🎹Did you know we teach older beginners (yes, that's you, teens and adults!)? This book is a total game-changer!

It blends pop-inspired pieces, smart technique, and a unique Pop Staff—a simplified way to play rich-sounding left-hand chords from the start.

Students start with right-hand reading and pop chords, then ease into full grand staff reading. It’s fun, rewarding, and perfect for tweens and teens who want to sound good fast!

The Very Useful (VU) Piano Library by Andrea and Trevor Dow is a growing collection of 17 levels (A through Q!) designed to work alongside your child’s primer and early level method books.

We use these playful, creative books in our studio because they are perfect for beginners and help reinforce key concepts in a way that feels more like an adventure than a lesson. 🌟

Here’s what our Primer–Level 1 students can dive into right now:

🎹 Level A – Glissando and the Slimy Songbook
🎹 Level B – Chillin’ On The Black Keys
🎹 Level C – Nuts For Alpha Notes, The Undersea Alpha Note Songbook (not pictured), and The “Elf-a” Notes World Tour
🎹Level D – Bat von Flapp’s Fairy Tales and Scary Tunes and My Piano Teacher Is Prehistoric

Each book brings something new to the bench, making practice time more engaging and helping students build confidence step-by-step. 🎶✨
