Third grade mathematicians brought place value to life! Students worked together to build numbers, then practiced identifying the value of each digit and reading the numbers in word form. 🔢📚

"First Day Critter Jitters" by Jory John.
5th grade students connected the story to their own lives, shared personal experiences, collaborated with classmates, and learned a little more about each other along the way. 💙

We may have started with some jitters, but we’re already "paws-itively" building a great classroom community! 🐾📖✨

It was great seeing so many of our Hawks and their families back on campus, meeting their teachers and getting ready for another great school year.
