The Northwest Herbal Fair has traditionally been a full weekend event. This year we're keeping things simpler while preserving the spirit of the fair we all love. After taking a pause in 2025, we're excited to gather again and reconnect with our community.

While this year's event is shorter, you'll still find many of the elements that have made the fair a beloved annual tradition.

Hey friends of the NW Herbal Fair, Burke here. 🌿 On this day one year ago, we were gathered at Lake Leland Amphitheater for the 15th NW Herbal Fair—an unforgettable weekend of sun, rain, wind, and more sun, with one of the biggest turnouts in our history. The site was alive with incredible workshops, music, teachers, vendors, and so much heart.

Deep gratitude to our production council, teachers, musicians, volunteers, vendors, attendees, and to Michael “Skeeter” Pilarski, co-founder and co-producer, and to Sheryl, our generous host at Lake Leland. Last year marked the close of a four-year run, and we took this summer off to rest and recalibrate.

Looking ahead, we’re hopeful (but still tentative) about returning next August for what would be the 30th anniversary of the NW Herbal Fair, first held in 1996. There’s still much foundational work to do—building a strong team, finding sponsorship, and paying off debts from the 2023 gathering at Skalitude—but the spirit of the NW Herbal Fair is very much alive.

If you or someone you know is in a position to donate financial contributions (which could ultimately be tax-deductible), please do let me know. Without proper funding, this just can’t work. Your support is so necessary and appreciated! 🙏🌿

For now, I just want to celebrate what we’ve created together and send gratitude to everyone who has helped carry this vision forward. Here’s to the Herbal Fairs of the past, and the seeds of what’s still to come. ✨

A Message to Our Northwest Herbal Fair Family 🍁🌈🎶

Over the past four years, the Northwest Herbal Fair has been a truly momentous and inspiring journey of co-creation. Together, we’ve built a vibrant and loving herbal community—learning, sharing, dancing, and celebrating the gifts of nature as a family.

As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement for future gatherings, especially the 30th Anniversary Reunion Weekend, tentatively scheduled for August 2026 at the beautiful Lake Leland Amphitheater. This special milestone will be an opportunity to welcome back friends and family from all 30 years of Herbal Fair history.

For now, however, we’ve decided to take a pause in 2025 to give our core production team the spaciousness to recenter, tend to their personal lives, and thoughtfully build the vision for 2026.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has made the Northwest Herbal Fair possible—attendees, teachers, performers, vendors, volunteers, sponsors, and all the hands and hearts that came together to create something truly magical. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.

While we take this year off, we encourage you to stay connected through our website and email list for updates about the 2026 event and other projects from Friends of the Tree Society and the Peace Through Music Foundation.

In the coming months, we will launch a GoFundMe campaign to help support our production team, repay debt from the 2023 Herbal Fair, and lay a strong foundation for the future. We look forward to celebrating with you again soon and can’t wait to co-create the next chapter of this beautiful community together.
