Dads carry a lot.

Work.
Family responsibilities.
Financial stress.
House projects.
Sports practices.
Late nights.
Early mornings.

And most dads aren’t great at slowing down long enough to take care of themselves.

We see it all the time.

Dad makes sure everyone else gets what they need first.
But your health matters too.

Chiropractic care isn’t just about feeling better.

It’s about helping your body adapt to the physical, emotional, and chemical stress that comes with everyday life.

The healthier dad is, the healthier the family tends to be.

So here’s your reminder:

Take care of yourself, too. 🤍

Dads matter.

Not just because of what they do.

But because of who they are.

The steady presence.
The piggyback rides.
The bedtime stories.
The hard work.
The sacrifices nobody sees.

The way they show up day after day for the people they love.

One of the greatest gifts a dad can give his family is taking care of himself, too.

Because when dad feels better, functions better, and shows up as his healthiest self, the entire family benefits.

This week we’re celebrating all the dads, grandpas, stepdads, and father figures who help make our community stronger.

We’re grateful for you. 🤍

When we opened our doors three years ago, we thought we were building a chiropractic office.

What we didn’t realize was that we’d be building relationships, friendships, and a community that would become such a meaningful part of our lives.

These photos represent so much more than appointments on a schedule.

They represent babies we’ve watched grow.

Families who have trusted us through life’s biggest transitions.

Conversations, celebrations, milestones, challenges, and victories.

They represent the incredible team that shows up every day to serve this community with their whole hearts.

And they represent each of you.

Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your story over the last three years.

What a privilege it has been. 🤍

Here’s to the families, the friendships, and the community that made these last three years so special.

When we opened Calumet County Chiropractic, we had no idea what the next three years would hold.

What started as a dream between the two of us quickly became something much bigger.

These photos capture the season when it was just Cody, me, and eventually a little girl who spent more time at the office than most adults. 🤍

There were plenty of long days, late nights, naps between patients, community events, learning curves, and moments where we simply figured things out as we went.

We were building a practice.

At the same time, we were building a family.

Looking back, we’re incredibly grateful for this chapter.

Not because it was easy.

But because it shaped who we are today.

Thank you to every person who trusted us, encouraged us, referred a friend, stopped by an event, or believed in this dream before it became what it is now.

These three years have been one incredible adventure. ✨

Three years ago, we celebrated two big beginnings at the same time. 🤍

As Calumet County Chiropractic was opening its doors, our family was preparing to welcome our first baby.

These photos remind us that while the practice was growing, so was the little life growing alongside it.

There were long days, big dreams, plenty of uncertainty, and so much excitement for what was ahead.

Looking back now, it’s hard to believe how much has changed in just three years.

Our office has grown.
Our team has grown.
Our family has grown.

And through it all, we’ve had the privilege of serving this incredible community.

Thank you for being part of the story from the very beginning. ✨

Three years ago, Calumet County Chiropractic was just an idea.

An empty space.
A lot of faith.
A lot of hard work.
And a dream to create a place where families could find hope and healing.

Looking back at these photos reminds us just how far we’ve come.

Thank you for being part of this story. 🤍

For 2.5 years, I haven’t shared much about Lainey’s birth story.

I was the mom who did all the things.

The books. The research. The supplements. The nutrition. The preparation. The midwives. The birth plan.

I trusted my body. I trusted God. I believed birth was designed to work.

And then labor didn’t go according to plan.

After days of labor, a hospital transfer, infection, Pitocin, an epidural, and hours of pushing, I surrendered to a C-section.

What I wasn’t prepared for wasn’t just my healing.

It was hers.

While I was recovering from major abdominal surgery, my daughter was beginning her own healing journey in the NICU.

We navigated feeding challenges, tension patterns, plagiocephaly, appointments, testing, and stressors I never imagined when I first held her.

That experience changed me forever.

Not because it made me question birth.

But because it deepened my understanding of healing.

I learned that even when everything doesn’t go according to plan, the body is still designed to heal and adapt when given the right support.

That’s why chiropractic care was such an important part of our journey.

For me postpartum.

For Lainey as a newborn.

And why it remains one of the first recommendations I make to expecting and new parents.

Whether your birth was vaginal or C-section, both mom and baby experience physical, chemical, and emotional stress during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the postpartum transition.

Having your nervous system checked matters.

Having your baby’s nervous system checked matters.

If you’re pregnant, find a chiropractor trained through the ICPA and Webster Technique.

If you’ve recently delivered, make your healing a priority too.

And if you have a newborn, have them evaluated by a chiropractor with advanced pediatric training who understands the relationship between the nervous system, tension patterns, fascia, feeding, development, and adaptation.

Because sometimes healing isn’t about changing the story.

It’s about supporting the bodies living it. 🤍

One of the most common questions we get is:
“Why don’t you take insurance?”

The simple answer? 🤍

Because we want to make recommendations based on what YOU need, not what an insurance company is willing to cover. We work for YOU not them!

Most insurance plans are designed around managing symptoms after a problem already exists. They’re often not built around wellness, prevention, nervous system regulation, or helping your body function at its best before bigger problems arise.

At Calumet County Chiropractic, our focus is different.

We focus on helping individuals and families improve how their bodies function through specific chiropractic care, education, and healthy lifestyle choices. We believe health is about more than simply chasing symptoms.

By choosing not to participate with insurance companies, we’re able to spend less time navigating insurance requirements and more time focusing on our patients and their care.

We also work hard to keep care affordable for families, accept HSA and FSA payments, and are always happy to have honest conversations about finances and care options.

Our goal has always been simple:

To provide the care we believe is best for our patients, without outside limitations.

And that’s something we’ll continue to stand behind 🤍

Why do so many pregnant moms choose chiropractic care? 🤍

Most moms don’t start care because they’re looking for one specific thing.

They start because they want to feel better, move better, and enjoy their pregnancy more.

As your body changes, your nervous system, muscles, ligaments, and pelvis are all adapting to support your growing baby. Sometimes that adaptation happens smoothly. Sometimes it doesn’t.

Many of the moms we care for are looking for support with:

✨ Hip and pelvic discomfort
✨ Low back tension
✨ Better movement and mobility
✨ Improved sleep
✨ Preparing their body for birth
✨ Supporting a healthy, balanced nervous system

Our goal isn’t just to help you get through pregnancy.
It’s to help you experience pregnancy with greater comfort, confidence, and connection to your body.

Pregnancy is an incredible season of life, and we’re honored to walk alongside so many moms during that journey 🤍

If you’re pregnant and only focusing on either pelvic floor therapy *or* chiropractic care… you may be missing part of the picture. 💚

During pregnancy, your body is constantly adapting.
Your pelvis changes. Your posture shifts. Your breathing mechanics change. Your core system stretches and reorganizes to support a growing baby.

And while pelvic floor muscles matter deeply, they don’t work alone.

Your pelvic floor, diaphragm, deep core, psoas, and nervous system are all designed to function together as a team.

This is why we believe pelvic floor therapy *and* nervous system based chiropractic care can complement each other so beautifully during pregnancy.

Pelvic floor therapy helps support:
• muscle coordination
• breathing patterns
• pressure management
• pushing preparation
• core connection
• birth prep and recovery strategies

Chiropractic care helps support:
• pelvic balance and mobility
• nervous system communication
• spinal and sacral movement
• tension patterns through the body
• adaptability during the physical stress of pregnancy

Because here’s the reality:
You can strengthen muscles all day long, but if the nervous system is overwhelmed and the pelvis and spine aren’t moving well, the body often stays stuck in compensation patterns.

And on the flip side, restoring motion and nervous system function without teaching the body how to properly coordinate, breathe, and engage can leave important gaps too.

Pregnancy care should never have to be “either/or.” 🌿

For many women, the best support comes from having *both* providers working together to support the changing body as a whole.

Swipe through to see how chiropractic care and pelvic floor therapy support different — but equally important — pieces of pregnancy and postpartum healing.
