The goal of the Pickaway Ross CTC Carpentry Program is to prepare students for a career in the carpentry trade. Students are encouraged to continue their education after Pickaway Ross in an apprenticeship program, college, or additional training with a contractor. The more education the students attain the better their chances for career advancement in the carpentry industry. Currently the Pickaway Ross CTC Carpentry Program has articulation agreements with both Hocking College and Columbus State Community College. The Carpentry Program has also been working with the Ohio Carpenters Union JATC in hopes of transitioning the top performing Pickaway Ross Carpentry students into the Ohio Carpenters Union Apprenticeship Program. The Carpentry Program is also building relationships with area contractors who want to hire Carpentry students out of the program. The opportunities are endless for students who want to apply themselves and work hard in the Pickaway Ross CTC Carpentry Program.

This morning 2024 graduate Braedon Evans stopped in to pick up something he needed for his job. He then stuck around to talk with our juniors. He told them what it was like on a jobsite, what to expect, why he liked commercial construction, what the safety expectations are, etc. I always enjoy it when past students stop in! It was great seeing you today Braedon!

Our Seniors on Job Placement are off to a fantastic start! They have already surpassed $200k as a class and it is only September! Now is a great time to be in commercial construction because of all of the work in and around Ohio, as well as all of the opportunities to earn great money.

Sophomore tours are coming in November. If you have a sophomore, or know of a sophomore, that would benefit from a career in commercial construction, make sure they come and visit the Commercial Carpentry Program during sophomore tours. The opportunities are endless!
