🏃♂️🏅🔥 IESA 3A STATE TRACK MEET – CEC MUSTANGS 🔥🏅🏃♀️
It’s a GREAT day to be a Mustang! ❤️🖤 What an incredible weekend for our junior high athletes at the IESA 3A State Track Meet. We are beyond proud of the hard work, determination, and accomplishments of these athletes!
👑 Miriam Gerke is your new STATE CHAMPION in 8th Grade Girls Long Jump, soaring to a jump of 5.25m (17-02.75) a NEW SCHOOL RECORD!
🥇 Annelyse Hattan repeated as STATE CHAMPION in Wheelchair Shot Put, defending her title in dominant fashion! She threw 3.98m (13-00.75) and crushed her last year's championship throw of 2.60m!
⭐ Jackson Rupiper placed 2nd in the 8th Grade 1600m with a blazing time of 4:33.17, breaking a SCHOOL RECORD that stood since 1984 (4:42.1)! He also placed 2nd in the 800m with a 2:03.78, breaking another SCHOOL RECORD and surpassing the old mark of 2:08 set by Toby Peters in 1984! 🏅🏅
💪 Michelle Russell placed 5th in 7th Grade Discus with a throw of 27.09m (88-10).
⭐ Riley Ribordy placed 6th in 8th Grade High Jump with a jump of 1.45m (4-09.00) and also ran the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.76!
👏 Harper Vonk placed 6th in 7th Grade 100m Hurdles with a time of 17.37 in the finals and also competed in Long Jump, jumping 4.39m (14-5.00) to place 9th!
🏃♀️ We are also proud of our 8th Grade 4x100 Relay Team, who competed and placed 18th in the State with a time of 54.46! Relay Team: Mikayla 🖤 Laken ❤️ Miriam 🖤 Riley ❤️ Lucy
🔥 Ashton Hardin-Benedict placed 28th in 8th Grade Discus with a throw of 35.08m (115-01).
From school records to state championships, our Mustangs represented CEC with pride and determination. Congratulations to all of our athletes—we are SO PROUD of you!
