Kierra Williams, a senior at Chillicothe High School, chose to enhance the band room through a painted mural for her approved Eagle Scout Project. Kierra showed incredible artistic talent by free-hand painting this very large mural in the CHS band room over a months-long period of work this summer.

Help Us Gear Up for Game Day!

Our Student Council is launching a Spirit Cart this school year to make sure every student can show off their Hornet pride on Friday nights!

We are looking for donations of pre-loved or new:

Hornet Attire

Football Theme Wear (Neon, USA, Tropical, Blackout, Camo, etc.)

Game Day Essentials & Accessories (Hats, pom-poms, beads, foam fingers, glow sticks, Hawaiian leis)

Help us make Friday nights even more exciting for our students by dropping off your donations during registration!

Drop-off Times:

August 11th: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

August 12th: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

August 11: Senior registration 9-11:00 am in the CHS Commons
Freshmen Orientation 6:00 pm in the PAC

August 12: Junior registration 9-11:00 am in the CHS Commons
Sophomore registration 1-3:00 pm in the CHS Commons

August 25: First day of school

August 25: Meet the Hornets
Doors open at 5:30 pm
Chillicothe Booster Club will be providing hot dogs and chips
Free for fall athletes, coaches, and Booster Club members
7:00 p.m.: Fall sports athletes introduced in the CHS gym
7:45 p.m.: Football Parking Space Auction – east side of the stadium

FCCLA members Kelly Hopper, Adrian Caselman & Adi Edds were 3 of 50 Missouri FCCLA members chosen to participate in the MO FCCLA Legislative Shadowing project in Jefferson City this year. All three were able to attend committee meetings, be announced on the House floor and see the government at work.

Let's celebrate our boys 4 x 400m relay team this morning! CHS' Luke Thompson, Josh Ojeaga, Brennen Fitzpatrick and Landon Longo finished in 8th place yesterday in the Class 3 State track meet! They've had a great season, breaking the school record many times! Way to go, boys!

NEW HIGH SCHOOL RECORD ALERT! Huge congrats to Brennen Fitzpatrick for a 6th place finish in the Class 3 Boys 400m run today with a time of 49.17!!! This breaks the old school record of 49.53 set by Jimmy Griesbach 20 years ago! WAY TO GO!!
