Huntington 8th Grader Emmitt Thomas… still working, still competing, still winning!!

Emmitt Placed 2nd today in the “Tournament of Champions” in Tridelphia, WV. The Tournament of Champions is the #1 Ranked Youth Tournament across the USA… incredible competition!!

Emmitt’s only loss occurred in the finals to a Michigan HS 3rd Place State Finisher by a score of 3-1.

Emmitt had multiple victories over HS State Qualifiers from Pennsylvania, Illinois, West Virginia, and Kentucky.

Congrats Emmitt… We see you!! Keep working!!💪💪

Several Huntsmen Wrestlers competed in the “Wrestle Against Autism” Tournament this past weekend at Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, OH!!

Those competing at the High School level… Jimmy Sexton, Aden Breniser, Bryson Ford , Ayden Ford & Emmitt Thomas.

Emmitt Thomas went “unblemished” in a brutal bracket and was eventually CROWNED Tournament Champion!!

Ayden Ford Place 4th in his weight class.

Huntington Alumni Alex Breniser & Morgan Breniser both also competed in the College Open Division!!

Well done men!! And great job coach Chad Barrows!!

Three (3) Young Lady Huntsmen Wrestlers competed today in the OHWAY State Wrestling Championships at the Marion County Fairgrounds Coliseum!!

Kaihlee Sprouse finished atop of the podium as 1st Place Champion in her division!!

Mahaylee Hardesty Finished 6th in her weight class!!

Alison Michael also competed today for the Huntsmen gaining valuable experience, but did not place in the top 8 in her division.

Congratulations and Great Job Ladies!!

Maveryck Hardesty & Austyn Oliver were both there today for support and worked as coaches for our Young Huntsmen!!

Four (4) of our Huntsmen Wrestlers competed in the OHWAY State Wrestling Championships today at the Marion County Fairgrounds Coliseum!!

Titus Hamilton led the pack with a State Runner Up Finish while Jimmy Sexton Placed 4th in his division!!

Maveryck Hardesty & Dustin Puckett both competed winning matches and gaining valuable experience, but finished short of reaching the podium Top 8 in their divisions.

Great job all of you!! Keep working… the view is worth the climb!! Outstanding!!

Huntington 8th Graders Emmitt Thomas & Titus Hamilton both competed in the OAC State Wrestling Championships over the weekend at the Youngstown Covelli Centre!!

Those that know wrestling, know the OAC State Championships, are truly the best of the best. The OAC’s are the “real deal”!!

With that being said…

Emmitt Thomas becomes Huntington’s “first-ever” JH OAC State Placer going 6-1 in the tournament and Finishing 3rd Overall!! Congratulations Emmitt… hard work pays off!!

Titus Hamilton also competed well winning multiple matches against high level opponents but finished just short of reaching the podium!!

Great job Emmitt and Titus… your hard work, dedication and commitment to this great sport are both scene, recognized, and valued!!
