ArtsySmartsy We don't just make crafts...We Study ART! An art education program designed for the youngest artists.

Our curriculum reflects the National Standards for Art Education, which emphasizes:

* Understanding of the technical aspects of visual art
* Historical and cultural context of art, and
* Encouraging an emotional and critical response to visual art

At each class, participants are introduced to a different artist, medium or culture while making friends and creating their own artwork. The class concludes in an art exhibit and opening reception at the Pump House Center for the Arts.

Another great session of ArtsySmartsy is underway! We have room available for daily sessions if you are unable to commit for the week. Come by and get your balance on with some Calder mobiles and sculptures!

Another great summer sequel: Artsy Smartsy Summer Session, Part Deux! Monday, August 8-12 from 10-11am at the Pump House. Bring your child(ren) ages 3-10 for some good, messy fun.
