🏅🏅🏅The first Innovators' Breakfast will be scheduled for the end of the semester. To earn an invite, students must complete 3 Maker Mats or 2 Maker Mats + 1 Muddy Boots STEM home connection. If your student returned the September Maker Mat, one credit has been recorded! ✅ 🙌

🌱 Kindergarten Botanists investigate fruit by dissecting it & using scientific tools, like magnifying glasses, to zoom in. They document the process with scientific sketches that show the fruit at different stages of dissection. 🔎

They discover a fruit is a suitcase for seeds!🍎 🧳 🥝

🐝 First grade has been buzzing with learning – from science investigations to charting data to site assessments- students are gathering knowledge so they can take action to improve the world around them! 🌎

🐝 🐛 🕷️ 1st grade has become experts on minibeasts (macroinvertebrates)! 🐌 🪱 🦋
They’ve been immersed in learning- reading lots of nonfiction books, publishing essays, creating models, scientific drawings, dissecting flowers & classroom simulations to explore pollination, completing a citizen science on ant diets. 🐜 🔍
🧑🏼‍🍳 🍯 Some of our students that chose chef as their career interest customized a honey recipe, while learning about the health benefits of nature’s sweetener. 🐝 👩🏽‍🍳
Now, these little biologists are ready to tap into their Compassion and use their knowledge to take action to help our local pollinators! 💙
