It’s time to start focusing on our upcoming academic year at WILDWOOD ACADEMY! Our first day will be Friday, September 18!!

🌿 Wildwood Academy
Where faith, nature and education meet

Wildwood Academy offers an immersive, nature-based learning experience where children explore, play, and grow in the great outdoors. Our program blends the hands-on exploration, environmental stewardship, and creative play to foster curiosity, confidence, and a love for the natural world. Activities may include forest hikes, creek exploration, gardening, animal care, nature crafts, sensory explorations, and seasonal projects — all grounded in research showing that outdoor learning improves focus, creativity, problem-solving skills, and overall well-being.

Led by Kimberly Forcum, an experienced educator, practicing with a valid Ohio teaching license (grades P-5 general education and licensed intervention specialist) with over 9 years in early childhood as well as specialized training in nature-based teaching methods and animal-assisted learning. Kimberly’s expertise ensures every activity is engaging, age-appropriate, and supports whole-child development. This is a private, home-preschool program that has all ingredients to enrich your kiddo!

✨ Program Details
• Ages: 3–6 (potty trained)
• Schedule: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (September–May)
• Cost: $65 per child per session ($250/month)
• Format: Small group, mixed-age learning in a safe, supervised outdoor environment
• Focus: Nature immersion, animal encounters, seasonal studies, and child-led play

At Wildwood Academy, we believe that childhood should be wild, free, and full of wonder. Every Friday, children have the opportunity to connect with nature, build friendships, and gain valuable life skills — rain or shine! Our day begins with social play, guided morning meeting & group prayer, followed by barn work/animal care, Bible study, enjoy packed lunch, followed by complete outdoor learning opportunities 2nd portion of the day. Includes things such as daily hikes, scavenger hunts, outdoor problem solving, exploration of land/creeks/ponds, etc.

Please note that there is a $50 registration fee, this fee will help provide the funds to gather the supplies to prepare for your child’s arrival to our program. Items such as first aid equipment, learning supplies, nature journals, curriculum, etc. Thank you

🌿✨ Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026–2027 Wildwood Academy school year! ✨🌿

In my experience as an educator I have learned that there are many places children can learn, but there are very few places where learning looks and feels as right as this.

At Wildwood Academy, children spend their days exploring forests, caring for animals, building forts, splashing in creeks, asking questions, creating, imagining, and discovering the wonder of God’s creation firsthand. Our days are filled with meaningful experiences that nurture not only academic growth, but confidence, curiosity, resilience, creativity, and character.

Although we have the cutest indoor classroom for some traditional experiences, This is not a traditional classroom experience.

It is an exceptional opportunity for children to learn through hands-on exploration, real-world experiences, nature immersion, and faith-centered community. It is a place where muddy boots are welcome, childhood is protected, and wonder is celebrated.

Wildwood Academy offers a truly unique and exceptional educational experience for families seeking something different — something slower, richer, and deeply rooted in connection to nature, learning, and the Lord.

The childhood years are precious and fleeting. We believe they should be filled with adventure, discovery, purpose, and joy.
