Congratulations to Cidalia Vital, PhD, RN, CNL, CRRN, on receiving the Sr. Margaret James McGrath Distinguished Alumni Award!

As Program Director of Nursing Research and Holistic Nursing at Baystate Health, Dr. Vital's research continues to advance healthcare quality and patient safety. Her current study examining interruptions to nursing care in inpatient hospital settings reflects her ongoing commitment to improving outcomes for both patients and healthcare teams.

The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes Elms College Alumni with who exemplify the institution's core values while demonstrating outstanding achievement professionally, intellectually, personally, and through service. This recognition is a testament to Dr. Vital's leadership and dedication to nursing excellence!

Mark your calendars for Reunion Weekend 2026 Elms College Alumni 🎉

Join us June 5–7 as we celebrate alumni from class years ending in 1s and 6s — including a special 50th reunion celebration for the Golden Blazer Class of 1976. 💛

The weekend will include a river cruise on the Lady Bea, a Golden Blazers Ceremony, class gatherings, campus tours, a paint-and-sip, and a special 50th class social hour! Saturday night will then end with Blazer Bash on the quad - we can’t wait to welcome our Blazers back to campus.
