Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry Located on the Chico State campus in the Student Services Center, room 196 and a satellite pantry at the Center For Healthy Communities 25 Main St.

CalFresh assistance is available at both locations. The Chico State Basic Needs Project is a collaborative effort of campus and community-based programs with the goal to improve student success through the provision of supplemental food, nutritious meals, government-funded food benefits, research-based education, short-term housing, emergency grants and referral services for students experiencing food insecurity, hunger, displacement, homelessness and poverty. Current programs and initiatives include the Hungry Wildcat Food Pantry, on campus CalFresh Outreach (SNAP) supplemental food assistance, and more! Mission:
To improve the campus learning environment by proactively addressing the barriers and challenges of food insecurity, housing displacement, homelessness and poverty so that Chico State students can more easily maintain their well-being to improve academic success, graduate and remain a part of the University community as successful alumni. Values:
We believe that access to adequate and nutritious food is a basic human right, that a university education should be a reasonable means of overcoming poverty and that service, research and education is key to alleviating the barrier of poverty to improve student opportunity and the communities we serve.

Lovely is an Asian Studies major and one of our Food Pantry Student Assistants, helping Wildcats access food and other essential resources.
 
Outside of work and class, she enjoys hairstyling and exploring beauty and fashion.

Fun fact: She can sleep for hours and still be tired! 😴

Join St. Augustine of Canterbury Anglican Church in supporting Chico State Basic Needs with a community food drive on Saturday, October 10 from 10 AM–12 PM at St. Augustine’s, 228 Salem St. in Chico.
 
Most-needed donations include quick snacks, shelf-stable foods, and hygiene products such as granola bars, canned tuna or chicken, beans, peanut butter, rice, pasta, toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, diapers, tampons, and pads.

Outside of work and class, he enjoys meditating, playing indoor soccer, and learning about real estate investing.
