Saturday morning family class, great energy and fun! First class is free!

Toddlers Capoeira class now open for registration! Ages 2-3 kids will be learning the basics of movement and rhythm through the lenses of Capoeira. Tuesday afternoon starting at 4pm. Please send a message to inquire!

Capoeira is not just movement, it is the art of moving. It is how you move through world, it is history in motion, it moves the soul and can moves emotions. We don’t teach just movement, we help people find their own creativity and authentic versions of themselves. Consider checking out your first class for free to see what Capoeira has to offer.

Music practice in last nights kids class, our 7+ year old students have made it their goal to be their own Bateria. We are lucky to have such dedicated young adults within our school. Thank you to all who donated to our gofundme for the matching grant from the city of Chico. The money received allowed us to purchase more instruments and make additional upgrades to our acedemy. We appreciate the continual support from our community to grow capoeira in rural Northern California.

Our dear friends with Água De Beber are having a batizado soon and we are excited to support! Looking forward to celebrating 25 years of ADB in Sacramento and the graduation of some great capoeiristas. We'll be heading down for it, feel free to head down with us. We are very fortunate to have received a grant for Capoeira by the City of a Chico! This grant will allow us to purchase several musical instruments for teaching, including drums and berimbaus for kids and adults, as well as a mirror for training and other costs related to running a martial art school. The grant is a matching grant which matches up to $2,540. We are hoping that our community would be open to donating towards our cause.

Thank you all for all the support you put into Pato and I; having a thriving Capoeira community is our dream and it is beautiful to see it in fruition. If you can donate or share, it would mean a great deal to improve our program.

the project of the grant to is called “ The Freedom that Capoeira brings” the entire project is focused on bringing Capoeira to communities who could benefit the most. This project will include a free class once a month for an entire year focusing on providing healthy movement, arts, cultural education and opportunities to connect and build community.
