CES and CMS awnings that are truly coming in handy during this 100 degree weather.

CMS furniture upgrades to accommodate our growing building.

These projects are more than just improvements to our buildings—they’re investments in our Dragon Family and the future of Chico ISD.

Good Evening Dragon Family,

This letter has been sent to all the primary contact emails listed in our registration system. We debriefed this evening and we were able to put a new emergency communication system in place in the event that Parent Square is down. Once again, we apologize for using our district page and Wise County Messenger as our means for emergency communication today. Moving forward, we will continue to look for ways to improve our district communication.

Thank you for helping us spread the word today and a BIG THANK YOU to all the emergency crews who came to our rescue. Wise County always shows up big and CES is extremely grateful.

PS- Our CES staff absolutely rocks! Our Dragons were in good hands today. 🫶

Update 3:02pm- CES students will return to CES at 3:20pm and run pick at normal times. The building has been fully inspected and the fire is completely out. Fire trucks will stay at CES until after dismissal as a precaution. Mrs James reported that in a moments notice all students were evacuated from CES is 3 minutes thanks to our dedicated staff members.

Update- 2:30pm- If you would like to pick up your CES student early, please go to the CHS gym door entrance.

Update- 2:18pm- All CES kids are safe and accounted for at CHS. In one hour we will make the call on the location for dismissal. We greatly apologize for using social media for information. Our Parent Square system is currently down.

Update- fire directly on CES property is out. We are keeping CES students at CHS until Wise County Emergency Management gives us the all clear.

CES Parents-

We have evacuating CES and taken the kids to the high school gym. They are safe with their teachers. We will keep you updated.
