This doe came in 15 minutes before dark. She was quartering towards me pretty hard when I took the shot. I could’ve waited and she probably would’ve given me a broadside shot but something inside me told me to take the shot when I did…. It just felt “right” even though my brain would normally say otherwise. The arrow didn’t get great pe*******on but it got in there far enough to do the job. She went much further than I would’ve thought but she left a heck of a blood trail to follow (as you can see in the video I posted earlier)

Both of my deer this season are in camera and I’ll be working on a couple video projects!

Got this buck FIVE MINUTES into my first hunt of the season. I had just got up in my tree and was still getting set up when I looked up and saw 3 bucks coming towards me. There was a larger, older 8 point that was a little out of my range and a really tall more mature buck that sadly wasn’t legal because his antlers weren’t wide enough.
This guy walked by at 10-12 yards and gave me a perfect opportunity that I couldn’t pass up.

I’m sure I’ll get some lash back about how I should’ve let him go a few more years (he is young) but he’s a legal buck that was within stickbow range and he’ll feed my family just fine.

Been having fun with the Pan Slings sling that I received recently! I know my form is terrible but I plan on spending more time watching their YouTube channel (absolutely a wealth of knowledge!) and getting things dialed in. I would love to take some small game with it this fall. Go check them out! Seriously cool product!
